in the litigation process; the lawyer’s professional obligation to recommend
settlement facilitation/mediation; opening statements at settlement facilitation
(why and why not); tips for mediating certain types of cases including
personal injury, real estate, construction, probate, domestic relations and
employment; the mediator’s letter including its uses and advisability;
communication skills; and a question and answer session on issues of interest
to the attendees.
